Isn't this a larger concern, though? How do we non-destructively
migrate a system from the current state to a flatpak-based one?

Should we do a one off copy of the contents of ~/.local/share/<appid>
(if it exists) to ~/.var/app/<appid> when we launch the application
for the first time?
