Migrating/syncing user configuration back and forth between PackageKit and Flatpak versions of an app

Howdy folks, 
 
It's nice and user-friendly that multiple Flatpak versions of the same app share configuration data. But is there any way we can facilitate migrating settings from the PackageKit version of an app to the Flatpak version and also back in the other direction, so that users who switch between these versions don't have to start all over with their settings?
