Platform extensions?

I know that flatpak had SDK extensions, which let me create additions to a
build SDK. However, I've been trying to create an SDK for Swift, and there
are several shared libraries and hacks needed during runtime. I tried doing
some searching for "platform extensions", but I can't seem to find
anything...I know I can work around it, but I want to make sure there's
nothing built-in to accomplish this already.
