Why would anyone install 2GB of "normal" software when same version of that software available in like 100mb elsewhere officially?

Users would probably to know want 2 things, how much data is it to
download, and how much space does it take on disk. I'm guessing the
answer won't be the same in both cases.

And silly aside: would users know that 1000 MB ~= 1GB?
