Do Flatpaks ship duplicate files?

Hello all,

I am working on a project involving creating a Flatpak repository and I
don't really understand OSTree much. Are duplicate files stored in my
repository? In specific I seem to have a lot of `fontconfig` files for
every app I buid and I was curious if these are being de-duped on the
server-side in the repository but also why they are duplicates in the
client-side `~/.var/app` directories.
