I mentioned Lxroot on the Flatpak mailing list back in February of 2020.

Recently, I have made and published significant improvements to
Lxroot.  See the above link for details about Lxroot's current
capabilities.

Just today, I wrote a demo of how to install and run Flatpak packages
inside Lxroot.  Since that demo is not included at the above link,
