opt out sandboxing?

When trying to pak Albert launcher I came across several problems. All related to the sandboxing. Some apps do not fit the concept of sandboxing. Eg application launchers or terminals, probably all system tools, which is not a niche id say. On matrix I got told flatpak is not for such apps. Which is probably not a good sign for "the future of software distribution".

Are there any plans to allow developers to opt out the sandboxing and just provide the unified distribution feature?
