Enabling 10-autohint.conf (symlinking in conf.avail) does not work, autohint is
still switched off:

$ fc-match '' autohint
:autohint=False,True

Similar problem is with 10-unhinted.conf.

The breakage appeared due to commit 1aaf8b77 (fixing bug #17722), please take a
look at it. The approach with mode="append" instead of mode="assign" works well
with rgba and lcdfilter, because they have no default value. On the other hand,
autohint and hinting have default values and hence the appended value comes
second having no effect.
