[Fontconfig] M9.1 kde - ghostscript fontmapping

Kde only.

kword with Helvetica font setting.
The compose window character setting is OK,
but in print preview and the actual printed document the character
spacing is too close.

How to fix ?

Looks to me like some font setting are not set up correctly ?

xset:  bad font path element (#56), possible causes are:
     Directory does not exist or has wrong permissions
     Directory missing fonts.dir
     Incorrect font server address or syntax

I cannot understand this, both ,
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/drakfont/Type1
and,
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/drakfont/ttf
have a /fonts.dir for each, so ?

I have set permissions to all users,

so what gives ?
