[Fontconfig] Problems installing Xft

Hi, recently downloaded fcpackage2.1, I tar'ed it, ran ./configure && make 
&& make install on fontconfig, and then did the same with Xft. Now, 
./configure went without any errors, but make failed, and gave me this:

make: *** [xftcolor.o] Error 1

What can I do to install it?
