[Fontconfig] Problem during "make" of fontconfig 2.2.0

Good day,

I'm in the process of upgrading KDE to 3.1.2
My Linux kernel is 2.4.18
My GCC is 3.3
My XFREE86 is 4.2.0
My Qt is 3.1.2

During the "configure" of the KDEbase portion of the KDE upgrade,
it indicated that I needed to install FONTCONFIG.

I download from your site fontconfig-2.2.0.tar.gz.

The "configure" step went O.K.

During the "make" step, I'm getting the following errors:

--SNIP--

End-of-data

I have not been able to find any problem like this in your Bugzilla database.

On Google, other than some people having similar problems to me without any
solution, I haven't found any answer to this problem.

Thanking you in advance for your assistance in this matter.

Yours truly,

Frank Krauss
