[Fontconfig] Is there a way to have clean fonts just like on MS Windows?

Hello, I have done some research and I haven't been able to have nice
fonts like on MS Windows. I use PC-BSD, a Unix-based operating system.
Here's how my fonts look like, all jagged and blurred:

Could you tell me what is wrong? I have followed the fontconfig man
page. Basically, I'd like fonts to looks sharp and clean, just like on
Windows.
