fc-cache loops when cyclic symlinks in fontdirectories exist

Example:

mfabian at magellan:~$ ll /usr/share/fonts/ttt
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 10? 11 16:20 /usr/share/fonts/ttt -> /usr/share/fonts/
mfabian at magellan:~$ 

This causes fc-cache too loop endlessly.
