[fprint] doing something more than just login

for many years i worked for a biometrics software company.
while i was there i thought long and hard about building an open source 
biometrics suite.

i was wondering if there was anyone on this list who might be interested 
in having a look at what might be possible.

i'm a java/unix sort of guy and have been designing large scale 
distributed systems for the last 30 years. doesn't mean i know what 
works. but i do know a few things that don't.
