Hi,

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask, but what is the
rationale for the metadata specification

)?

In particular, why have generic metadata like creation time, authors
(who modified the file) and souce (how did this file come to my
computer)?  I see that Image.Creator and Doc.Author are like author,
but it is useful to know who created any file.  And it may be useful
to know for any file when it was created, not only documents.
