I don't have any experience with automatic wrappers, but I guess we 
need to so part of it by hand in any case, because we like to have 
simpler API for python users.

Currently pyfribidi is kind of a hack around fribidi, used to solve the 
problems we had now. I don't plan to create a complete biding anytime 
soon :-)

So maybe its better to leave the projects as too separate projects. If 
we plan to do a more complete solution, maybe its better to "sell" both 
in the same web space.

On the other hand, if you think merging the project will save time and 
overhead of running the project site, I'll go for it.

Amit Aronovitch started a complete bindings using ctypes, maybe he will 
like to continue with this. He also have experience with various 
bindings solutions.
