Hi all,

Iain released his Gypsy* gps daemon a while ago, and I've now pushed an
accompanying gypsy-backend in to the repository. It's disabled by
default like gpsd, but configure accepts "--enable-gypsy" option.
Satellite data and velocity are not yet supported, but basics work fine.

Gypsy needs the GPS device name as a startup parameter. The name can be
a bluetooth address (00:02:76:C5:81:BF) or a device file (/dev/smthng).
The backend reads the name from gconf. If you want to test, set the key:

gconftool-2 -t string -s \
        /apps/geoclue/position/gypsy/default_device $NAME

PS. we're progressing with the API work (well, mostly Iain is). I'll
post a report soonish.
