[ghns] KNewStuff2

Hi list,
I have been looking at the KNS2 implementation of ghns lately, and it is still
somewhat unfinished even with KDE 4.0 almost there.
I'd like to know how handling of installed files should be done. The uninstall
button is not really a great help yet, as it does simply nothing.
Looking at the code it would not be hard to find out which files are actually
being installed.
But how would this be saved? My guess would be adding more tags to the xml in
the entry registry.

The next thing is, I'd like to use compression and get a list of files that
were installed. As far as I can tell, there is no way to get any infromation
about local files from the kns implementation (?).
Even when Jeremy hacked on the engine to return the promised list of changed
entries that was never returned before, the api does not provide for it.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Also some signals are missing when run in modal dialog mode to notify of
changes.

Josef, please help with your better knowledge of the internals to get us
started making things actually work.

Greetings,
Frederik
