Yes, my current attempt (more proof of concept) keeps a list of files in the 
installed items registry. When one of the supported formats to decompress is 
discovered (zip, tar.bz2, tar.gz) the files in the archive are the ones which 
end up in the registry.
Currently I do that by going through the archive, if there's any better way, 
let me know.
