I agree with you. It's likely to be a glamor glyphs rendering bug, and the glyphs cache is a good guessing.
I'm really busy recently. Hope I can get some spare time to look into it in next month.

Given that the problem seems to be the same between the intel and radeon drivers, I doubt it's anything as subtle as that. Probably a bug in the glamor glyph (cache?) code.
