Possibly:

For the slowness, you could start by capturing some profiles using
sysprof, perf or oprofile.

For artifacts, it's about trying to narrow down where the problem comes
from, e.g.: Does the problem also occur with glamor on a system not
using the radeonsi driver? If yes, it indicates the problem is in
glamor, otherwise in the radeonsi driver. And so on.
