Supporting importing YUV buffers would need a lot of patches,
but a simple patch (like this one: http://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/16907/) would enable EGL_EXT_image_dma_buf_import for our use case.
Then all the tools to export/import fds would be available for nouveau and radeon.
