Gstreamer on Froyo

[s.rawat]

I tried modifying the configure.ac (GST_REQ = 0.10.32.1 to
0.10.28.0(currently stable gst plugin tom the synaptic manager) in the
gst-plugin-base folder but still the same error .
configure: error: no gstreamer-0.10 >= 0.10.28.0 (GStreamer) found
 configure failed
make: *** [gst-plugins-base-configure] Error 1

PLz assist  , its been 2 days i am stuck here.
