Gstreamer Android Install Instructions for different versions

Hi,

in step
http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/wiki/GstreamerAndroid_InstallInstructions#Buildthemodifiedtree
one needs to get the local_manifest.xml and do the repo sync. It I would
want to do this not for 2.3.2_r1 but for let say 2.2 (froyo) should I be
able to just change the local_manifest?
