Compile gstreamer error

Good day i try to follow the wiki.
http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/wiki/GstreamerAndroid_InstallInstructions#Building_GStreamer_with_the_NDK

i did
git clone git://git.collabora.co.uk/git/user/reynaldo/gstreamer_ndk_bundle
it download some contents and afterward i did
the command git submodule update --init
howver none of the submodules were updated and the faad give error
