How to get a build of current master

What’s the best way to get a build of the most recent gstreamer code?

I’m interested in getting a build that includes the recent checkin of the android camera support in 1.0.

I figure there is a straightforward solution of cloning the branches and building them myself. I’m partway there. I’ve got an Ubuntu virt, on which I’ve cloned the branches, installed various necessary packages and I believe I’ve successfully built, at least for the default architecture. Without guidance to the contrary I’ll proceed with figuring out how to build for ARM, etc.

However, I wanted to check if there is some other easier or better solution that I should be pursuing.
Also, is it generally ok to code against and the most recent checkins to master, with the caveat that I’m not using it for production code anytime soon.
