Yes, working against git master should generally be fine, and if
something is broken in master that's usually not on purpose, so please
report bugs if you find anything not working right.

For hacking on Linux, use a gst-uninstalled environment in your home
directory.

For building git master for Android: I believe if you use the cerbero
build tool git master branch it should be able to build git master of
all modules for you for your target OS/branch.
