RELEASE: GStreamer 1.0.8 binaries for Windows, Mac OS X and Android

The GStreamer project is pleased to announce binary builds for GStreamer
1.0.8, the plugin modules and all their dependencies. Builds are
currently provided for Windows (32/64 bit), Mac OS X (32/64 bit x86) and
Android (ARM). Future releases will include support for iOS.

Any bugs affecting these builds should be sent to the GStreamer Bugzilla
http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/bugs/ and any questions to the GStreamer
developers mailing list http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/lists/

The installation and usage instructions from http://docs.gstreamer.com
are also valid for these binaries with the following caveats:

1) Only the GStreamer 1.0 API is supported, so the 0.10 tutorials won't
compile as is and need to be ported to the new API.

2) On Windows the Visual Studio template is called gst-template instead
of gst-sdk-template and the environment variables are
GSTREAMER_1_0_ROOT_X86_64 and GSTREAMER_1_0_ROOT_X86 instead of
GSTREAMER_SDK_ROOT_X86_64 and GSTREAMER_SDK_ROOT_X86.

3) On Android the Android.mk requires GSTREAMER_ROOT or
GSTREAMER_ROOT_ANDROID to be set instead of GSTREAMER_SDK_ROOT or
GSTREAMER_SDK_ROOT_ANDROID. The Makefile include is called
gstreamer-1.0.mk instead of gstreamer.mk.
