</style></head><body><div><br></div><div>The GStreamer team is pleased to announce another development release in the unstable 1.25 release series. which is the development branch leading up to the next major stable version which will be 1.26.</div><div><br></div><div>The unstable 1.25 release series is for testing and development purposes in the lead-up to the stable 1.26 series which is scheduled for release as soon as possible. Any newly-added API can still change until that point.</div><div><br></div><div>This development release is primarily for developers and early adaptors.</div><div><br></div><div>Binary packages for Android, iOS, Mac OS X and Windows will be provided shortly.</div><div><br></div><div>As always, please give it a spin and let us know of any issues you run into by filing a bug in Gitlab: <a href="https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer">https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer</a></div><div><br></div><div><span></span></div><div><div><h1><a name="p-8568-feature-freeze-now-in-effect-for-126-1" class="anchor" href="https://discourse.gstreamer.org/t/gstreamer-1-25-50-unstable-development-release-feature-freeze-for-1-26-now-in-effect/4100#p-8568-feature-freeze-now-in-effect-for-126-1"></a>Feature Freeze now in effect for 1.26</h1></div></div><div><br></div><div>Just a quick note that git main is now: FROZEN for new features (*).</div><div><br></div><div>This is in order to let things settle down and focus our attention on stabilising, bug-fixing and sorting out blocker bugs for the upcoming 1.26 release.</div><div><br></div><div>It will probably still be okay to add a little new property here or a small piece of library API there, but new plugins, elements, libraries, or components should really wait for the next cycle once we’re feature frozen.
