+Balsa doesn't use bonobo. So it must be kernel-related (but then
+again, why does ps still work?) or X-related (likely!). If it's an X
+problem, then it's video (driver? Xv, likely) related.

+I can't think of any reason why this would be GStreamer-related, really.
