+Relating to a bug filed at RedHat - "gnome sound recorder creates 0 byte
+files in Phoebe 3/ RH 8.0.94"

+command gst-launch osssrc ! wavenc ! filesink as suggested by iain
+<iain at prettypeople.org>.

+The command seems to fail on my installation of RedHat Phoebe 3, and at
+Iains request I'm submitting the bug here.
+
+The result of the command is that after a few second I'm returned to the
+terminal (output below), a 4Kb file is created- which does not play.
+
