+This problem still remains. Seems to be Linux 2.5.x specific. Moving
+back to 2.4.x Kernel means it compiles, moving up to 2.5.x Kernel
+means it causes the linker to abort.

+Soon you all will move to 2.5.x Kernel new gcc, glibc and may hit the
+same problem. I spent a couple of weeks into this now, changed various
+gcc compilers updated new binutils etc. My entire System compiles up
+and down without any issues even GNOME (every couple of days I
