Running the following pipeline:

gst-launch-0.8 filesrc location=input.wav ! wavparse ! audioconvert ! alawenc !
filesink location=out.raw

Where my input file is PCM 16b 8kHz.

I get:

GStreamer ERROR: from element /pipeline0/audioconvert0: Internal GStreamer
error: negotiation problem.  File a bug.
