          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Normal
         Component: gstreamer (core)
        AssignedTo: gstreamer-maint at bugzilla.gnome.org

FC2 gstreamer-plugins-0.8.1-1.i386.rpm has newer ver than your repository.

It is unclear if this is OK, but I have issues with gst-player.

However, if I force your RPM (0.8.1-0) instead, gst-register gets an error
"undefined symbol: dv_init" when on libgstdvdec.so. This ends the registration
process immediately.

Trying to switch back to the FC2 included rpm, I find that your plugins-alsa
package conflicts (libgstalsa.so is in gstreamer-plugins with fc2).

It may make sense to do one of these:
. up epoch or versions to have the gstreamer repository override fedora core
(and any updates)
. modify repo setup instructions on what to do here (i.e. exclude gstreamer*
from [core]) to ensure compatability
. re-package repository to dovetail with fc2 included RPMs

Or, maybe you should just tell me to let yum do it's thing, and that
gstreamer-plugins-0.8.1-0 in your repo is meant to be overridden by fc2's rpm.
