when trying whether the artsd plugin works using the command: 
 
gst-launch-0.8 sinesrc ! artsdsink 
 
I get:

artsdsink: closed connection 
Segmentation fault 
 
When trying to produce a trace with: 
 
gst-launch-0.8 -T sinesrc ! artsdsink 
 
I get:
