------- Additional Comments From Joshua Lock 2005-08-08 13:23 -------
Hi similar situation, GStreamer 0.8.8-1 Ubuntu on Hoary (5.04).

My pipeline is:
audio/x-raw-int,rate=44100,channels=2 ! lame name=enc vbr=4 vbr-quality=5

I'm seeing weird lengths which are grossly wrong, ~4 min files coming up as
~2mins - ~18mins and anything in between...

Totem isn't playing these files properly, nor is my iPod. They are trying to
play the length of the file so sometimes cutting songs short and other times
playing "silence" or white noise...

example output of file
01 - The Hollow.mp3: MPEG ADTS, layer III, v1, 32 kBits, 44.1 kHz, JntStereo

which we all know is wrong :(
