Hi could you please try the following command-line commands and report back:

gst-launch filesrc location=filename.mp3 ! mad ! audioscale ! audiorate ! osssink

gst-launch playbin uri=file:///path/to/file/filename.ogg

gst-launch filesrc location=filename.ogg ! mad ! audioscale ! audiorate ! esdsink

The stacktrace you submitted makes it look like you are trying to output to
esound sound server, is this correct?
