GStreamer | gst-plugins | Ver: HEAD CVS
Summary: gstreamer plug-in request: NSF
Product: GStreamer
Version: HEAD CVS
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: Normal
Component: gst-plugins
AssignedTo: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
ReportedBy: nigelenki at comcast.net

NSF files are Nintendo Sound Format. They are files which hold multiple
streams, which are composed of CPU data to be run through a Nintendo NES emulator.
I would like to see an NSF plug-in for gstreamer. This may be accomplishable by
referencing the file as a directory, if gstreamer has no existing way to handle
files containing multiple streams. For example, dw4.nsf/33 would be Nara and
Mara's battle theme (Dragon Warrior 4 NSF, track 33). The '/' character is an
invalid character for a file name IIRC, so this notation should "work" for
multi-stream files.
