Hi,

As explained by Holger Ruckdeschel in Debian bug
<http://bugs.debian.org/301190>, gst-register writes to /root/.gstreamer-0.8/ by
default.

I've investigated a little bit, and saw that the user_registry is added
unconditionnally to the list of plugins registries.

I think a special case should be made for root.
