 GStreamer | gst-plugins | Ver: 0.8.9

           Summary: playbin skips some music
           Product: GStreamer
           Version: 0.8.9
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Normal
         Component: gst-plugins
        AssignedTo: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
        ReportedBy: gnome at flowerday.cx
         QAContact: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net

Using gstreamer 0.8.9 and gst-plugins 0.8.8 (from ubuntu/hoary) muine skips
about a second 1 second into a track.

I can reproduce this using:

gst-launch-0.8 playbin uri=file:///path/to/music.mp3

I have 2 different behaviours:

Using osssink the sound cuts out for a second, while using esdsink or alsasink
it just jumps 1 second in the music.

I don't seem to able to construct a manual pipeline (not using playbin) that
shows this behaviour, and I also can't work out how to change the audio-sink for
playbin using gst-launch.

This is with a:

0000:00:06.0 Multimedia audio controller: Ensoniq 5880 AudioPCI (rev 02)
0000:00:06.0 0401: 1274:5880 (rev 02)

And
