Marius, when you say 'this is on Ubuntu Dapper 6.06' - what is the GStreamer
core version actually being used? The one that ships with dapper (=0.10.6)?

I am fairly sure this is a duplicate of bug #343057 (crashes when using the
--gst-plugin-path command line option).

If you're using a core version >= 0.10.7 and still get this issue, please
re-open this bug.
