Oh, you don't have gst-plugins-ugly installed - you're using the mp3 decoder
from ffmpeg and not the libmad based one. 

With that info, I can reproduce the problem here:


gst-launch filesrc location=file.mp3 ! typefind ! ffdec_mp3 ! audioconvert !
alsasink
