All gnibbles .wav files (appear.wav  bonus.wav  crash.wav  gobble.wav 
laughter.wav  life.wav  pop.wav  reverse.wav  teleport.wav) play fine for me
with current gst-plugins-good CVS, so it looks like it's been fixed in CVS,
probably by this commit:

        * gst/wavparse/gstwavparse.c: (gst_wavparse_stream_data):
        Handle premature EOS gracefully.

Could you try with CVS and see if it works for you with that? (installing just
gst/wavparse from CVS should be fine after it's been configured).
