I can confirm that stripping the id3 tag (as described in comment #7) both
gives the same output of the typefind element ("mpegversion=(int)1,
layer=(int)3") and allows me to play the file using "gst-launch-0.10 playbin
uri=[filename] -t" using same setup as in comment #6.
