This works:
gst-launch-0.10 v4l2src ! videoscale ! video/x-raw-yuv,width=320,height=240 !
ximagesink

while this creates output like that of a broken analog tv (picture moves
around)

gst-launch-0.10 v4l2src ! videoscale ! video/x-raw-rgb,width=320,height=240 !
ximagesink
