If you update the Check dependency to 0.9.4 (actually, 0.9.5 exists already), 
then you can replace the PKG_PATH_CHECK check to a regular PKG_CHECK_MODULES.
This removes the need for the common/m4/check.m4 file.

This applies to gst-plugins-* too.
