GStreamer | gstreamer (core) | Ver: HEAD CVS
Summary: [filesink] reports wrong (byte) position after seeking
Product: GStreamer
Version: HEAD CVS
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: Normal
Component: gstreamer (core)
AssignedTo: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
ReportedBy: manauw at skynet.be
QAContact: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
GNOME version: Unspecified
GNOME milestone: Unspecified
filesink uses a (misnamed?) data_written field to report byte position.
However, this variable is not kept properly in sync with the real position in
case of seeking backward and forward again (which is a typical scenario
following some muxer element).
