Not sure how this is done when it comes to rtsp streams, if they just fallback
to a http stream or what, but I am opening this bug as a reminder to check it
out alongside fixing other protocol plugins on the issue of proxy servers

1. properties for proxy, 2. a signal when it handles a new connection, so that
the front-end can set the proxy according to the hostname being targetted

This would make it possible for applications to get the proxy information from
gconf and use it with the networking plugins.
