it would be nice to get some feedback on the preset format that the default
implementation will use:

the code in buzztard cvs has been updated.

@marc-andre: where do you see a gchar* value? The in memory datastructure will
definitely keep GValues, but on disk I prefer to serialize to an ascii format.
