Hi, I guess the 4 patches I provided probably don't apply easily then..

They were ready for review, in case you have 10 minutes anyway :)

attachment 88634 & attachment 88635 just remove gstmixer gsignals
attachment 88663 to send gstmsg to notify mixer updates
attachment 88664 start a gsttask to poll alsa filedescriptors

I can provide a big-patch that applied on top of current HEAD if necessary. It
would be nice to have some feedback on the previous patch though. Thanks!
